Our Story
Mark‑It Makers Creative Garden was founded to bring together art‑making, food, and care as tools for connection, learning, and wellbeing.
Rooted in Miami, our work grew from years of community engagement, creative facilitation, and food‑systems learning—shaped by the belief that creativity thrives when people feel welcomed, grounded, and supported.
What began as a series of community creative events has grown into an arts‑based business that centers shared making, ecological awareness, and relationship‑building.

Sheila Gutierrez
Founder & Creative Director
Sheila Gutierrez is a creative producer and educator whose work lives at the intersection of art, food, and community care. With experience in community programming, education, and garden‑based learning, she founded Mark‑It Makers Creative Garden as a sustainable, women‑led business grounded in creativity and connection.
While the work is locally rooted, Sheila’s approach is informed by long‑term learning in community food systems and cross‑cultural creative practice. Growth—locally and beyond—is guided by listening, collaboration, and respect for existing knowledge.
